Biography

Senior Gunditjmara knowledge holder reviving possum-skin cloak making.

Dr Vicki Couzens is a Keerray Woorroong / Gunditjmara Elder and one of a small circle of women who led the revival of the possum-skin cloak (koorama) tradition across south-eastern Australia. She works between language revitalisation, ceremony and contemporary installation.
